** Announcing our 2013 Grand Marshal **

~BRIAN PATTULLO~

The Parade committee is honoring the community service work of former police chief Brian Pattullo by naming him Grand Marshal of the 2013 Firefighter's Santa Parade. Brian Pattullo began his career as a Patrolman with the Andover Police Department in July 1981. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1991 and then appointed to the position of Chief of Police in March 1998. Under Chief Pattullo’s direction, the Department was frequently recognized for its professionalism, integrity and outstanding service.

In his tenure as Police Chief, he was an active member of many law enforcement organizations and related groups.  He was Chair of the North East Regional Homeland Security Council (NERAC) where he was actively involved in school safety and security as well as the implementation of the Automated Critical Assessment Management System (ACAMS).  He participated in a pilot group with other Chiefs that developed the School Threat Assessment and Response System (STARS) that is currently in use on a State and National level. Additionally, as Chair of NERAC he played an integral role in the development of the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and Continuity of Government (COG) plans which can be utilized by municipal and private institutions. Chief Pattullo served as Director of the Emergency Management as well as the Local Emergency Planning Committee for the Town of Andover.  He has served as President of both the North Eastern Massachusetts Municipal Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) and the Essex County Chiefs of Police Association. Chief Pattullo was instrumental in the establishment of the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission, Inc. and served as President of that organization since its inception through 2013.
Mr. Pattullo retired from the Town of Andover In July of 2013 and is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of a firm specializing in the conduct and direction of high level security assessments and details, executive protection assignments, internal security audits and fraud investigations, as well as in the establishment of comprehensive physical and personnel security standards.

For his outstanding commitment to the safety of Andover, and his 32 years of protecting our town, we wish Mr. Pattullo best of luck and a very merry Christmas!

THANKS TO ALL OUR SPONSORS, WITHOUT YOU THIS EVENT WOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE!
